1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly:
- Account information (name, email address)
- Payment information (processed securely by Stripe)
- License activation data (machine identifiers)
- Support communications
- Optional Filament usage and fault data, when you actively enable sharing in the installer or Filament Settings
- Website usage and attribution data, including page views, referrers, campaign parameters, checkout funnel events, approximate region, and browser or device information
- Advertising measurement identifiers, such as Google click identifiers, when they are present in campaign links
2. How We Use Your Information
- Process purchases and deliver products
- Manage license activations
- Provide customer support
- Send product updates and announcements (with consent)
- Improve our products and services
- Understand Filament adoption, diagnose faults, and resolve product reliability issues when optional sharing is enabled
- Measure site performance, campaign attribution, and checkout funnel health
- Measure advertising performance and reduce irrelevant campaign messages
3. Filament Usage and Fault Data
Filament usage and fault sharing is optional and off by default for a new installation. If you enable it, Filament may send:
- A session-start event with a random session identifier, installation or machine identifier, Filament version, operating system, CPU type, and DAW or host details
- Your licensed account email, when available, so usage and support reports can be linked to the relevant account
- Crash reports, performance events, WebView errors, and technical diagnostic logs or archives needed to investigate a fault
Session-start events do not contain project names, preset content, audio, or MIDI data. Fault diagnostics can contain technical details such as loaded plugin names, crash stacks, recent application logs, and system paths. They are used to reproduce and resolve problems in Filament.
For review copies, a session start may also be linked to the relevant reviewer or press contact so we can manage review-copy access and follow-up. We do not use this signal to inspect the reviewer's music or projects.
We process this optional data on the basis of your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time in Filament Settings. Turning sharing off stops future automatic uploads; it cannot recall data already sent. Session-start records are automatically expired after 180 days. We retain fault data only for as long as reasonably necessary for support, security, and bug resolution, subject to any legal obligations or deletion request.
4. Data Security
We use security measures to protect your data. Stripe handles payment processing, and we never store your full credit card information. We encrypt your data in transit and at rest.
5. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party services:
- Stripe - Payment processing
- Supabase - Account management and data storage, including first-party funnel events and optional Filament usage and fault records
- Vercel - Website hosting and analytics
- Google Ads / Google Tag - Advertising measurement and conversion reporting
- Resend - Email delivery and marketing suppression handling
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your data
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Withdraw optional Filament usage and fault-data consent
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication, checkout, cart, and account functionality. We also use browser storage for first-party visit attribution and analytics, and advertising measurement services may use cookies or similar technologies for campaign measurement and conversion reporting. We do not sell personal data.
8. Advertising and Retargeting
We may use Google Ads measurement and remarketing audiences to understand campaign performance, exclude purchasers from sales ads where possible, and show more relevant product education. You can control ad personalization through your browser and Google account settings.
