Macros let you assign a single incoming CC number to control parameters across multiple mixer channels simultaneously.

Setting Up a Macro

  1. 1Open the macro editor in the mixer view.
  2. 2Assign a CC number as the macro trigger.
  3. 3Define target assignments: for each target, specify which channel, which parameter, and the minimum/maximum output range.

Target Parameters

Each macro can control multiple targets. For each target, specify:

  • •Channel: Which mixer channel to target
  • •Parameter: Volume or effect parameter

When the assigned CC moves, all targets update proportionally.

Use Cases

Ensemble Dynamics

One CC controls all string section volumes — sweep the mod wheel to bring the entire section up or down together.

Effect Depth

One CC controls reverb send across all channels — dial in the room ambience for the entire ensemble at once.

Section Balancing

Assign separate macros to strings, brass, and woodwinds — quickly rebalance the orchestral sections with dedicated faders.

Tips

  • •Macros are saved with the bank, not the orchestration
  • •Assign commonly used CCs (CC 1, CC 11) for quick access during performance
